A Little About Me.

I grew up in Northern Virginia and was always very active. Having competed in just about every sport imaginable, I realized my true passion was swimming. After High School, I competed for George Mason University while pursuing a B.S. in Exercise Science. I gave back to the sport by coaching my community summer swim team. After graduating college, I decided to take my coaching to a professional career. While coaching for one of the nation’s most established clubs in Washington D.C., I picked up my new sport of triathlon. I started with Olympic distances and quickly moved to 70.3 and full Ironmans. Shortly after, I began training under my coach, Scott Defillipis.

In October of 2014, I fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to Southern California. I found my passion for triathlon growing strong, and that is when I started coaching triathletes. Along with coaching, I took racing and training much more seriously. After a few years of swimming, biking, and running around the beautiful California coastline, I had a few 70.3 and full Ironman overall age group titles.

I had plans to race professionally after Kona 2021 (which did not happen) but instead had a bad bike crash that left me with a broken scapula and a separated AC joint. I spent that summer recovering and going to physical therapy most days of the week. I worked extremely hard to get back to my former fitness level. My dedication paid off as I took the overall age group title at my hometown race, Ironman Oceanside 70.3, which was a dream of mine. Scott and I decided it was time to race at the next level. My short-lived 2021 season ended with my professional debut at Ironman Cozumel. The 2022 season will be my first pro season and I can not wait for the journey ahead!
